Yacht Rock Revue
Yacht Rock Revue, a band born from the yacht rock revival scene, has grown far beyond their initial roots as a cover band and has become a celebrated act for its authentic homage to the breezy soft rock of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. Formed in Atlanta, they began as a niche ensemble dedicated to hits from bands like Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, and Steely Dan, yet they have evolved over the years into a nationally recognized band known for sold-out shows and collaborations with original yacht rock artists, including Robbie Dupree and Elliot Lurie.
Their latest work, Escape Artist, is a 21-track original album showcasing their growth as musicians while staying true to the yacht rock aesthetic. The album blends nostalgic influences with fresh, introspective lyrics and smooth rhythms. Tracks like "Tropical Illusion" feature co-writes with yacht rock luminaries, and the band’s cover of "Steal Away" brings a unique twist on the classic.
In recent tours, including opening for Train and REO Speedwagon, Yacht Rock Revue demonstrated their wide appeal, transforming audiences of casual listeners into devoted fans. Each performance balances lighthearted nostalgia with genuine artistry, inviting fans to escape modern stresses through music that feels both timeless and refreshingly upbeat.
