On January 17, 2025, Tank and the Bangas delivered an electrifying performance at Denver's Bluebird Theater, transforming a cold evening into a vibrant celebration of music and energy. This was part of their “The Heart, The Mind, The Soul Tour”. The band's dynamic fusion of funk, soul, and spoken word captivated the audience from the first note. Frontwoman Tarriona "Tank" Ball's charisma and powerful vocals led the ensemble through a setlist that had the crowd dancing and singing along throughout the night. The Bluebird Theater provided a cozy atmosphere allowing the fans to connect closely with the band’s high-energy performance.

This concert was a testament to Tank and the Bangas' reputation for delivering unforgettable live shows, leaving Denver fans eagerly awaiting their next return. We are sad to regret our team was unable to make it in time for the openers of the show but can bet they set the tone perfectly escalating the energy in the room with every song.

Tank and the Bangas is a dynamic musical group from New Orleans, Louisiana, known for their eclectic blend of funk, soul, hip-hop, rock, and spoken word. Formed in 2011, the band gained national attention after winning NPR's Tiny Desk Contest in 2017, which showcased their energetic performance style and unique sound.

The group is fronted by lead vocalist Tarriona "Tank" Ball, whose background in slam poetry contributes to the band's distinctive lyrical approach. Their debut album, Think Tank, was released in 2013, followed by Green Balloon in 2019, and Red Balloon in 2022. In 2024, they released a three-part album titled The Heart, The Mind, and The Soul, exploring themes of self-discovery and personal growth.

Tank and the Bangas have been recognized with multiple Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist in 2020 and Best Spoken Word Poetry Album in 2025 for The Heart, The Mind, and The Soul. Their live performances are celebrated for their infectious energy and improvisational flair, solidifying their reputation as one of the most innovative acts to emerge from New Orleans in recent years.
