Casper Allen @ Globe Hall

Casper Allen headlining Globe Hall in Denver Colorado on June 6th, 2024. He was supported by Gracie Horse, Shawn Hess and Nathan Xander. This marked the start of a road run together hitting places in Wyoming and Montana. Nothing beats intimate settings and singer-songwriters doing their thing.

Nathan Xander

*Nathan Xander is a songwriter whose music embodies the enigmatic charm of what Greil Marcus termed the 'Old, Weird America'. His sixth album, Three Waltzes, is a reflective exploration of life's transitions, marked by changes in his band lineup, personal sobriety, and the impact of the pandemic. Drawing inspiration from artists like Nick Lowe, Tom T. Hall, and Paul Westerberg, Xander's songs delve into themes of loss and evolving identity. Hailing from rural Union City, PA, Xander began songwriting at eighteen, influenced by his passion for discovering rare and obscure vinyl records. His style is a blend of country, folk, and rock, honed through the music scenes of Pittsburgh, Chicago, and now New York City, where he has lived for the past decade. His career has seen him share the stage with notable musicians such as Justin Townes Earle, Tyler Childers, BJ Barham, and Howe Gelb.

Shawn Hess

*Being born and raised in the great metropolis of Cheyenne, Wyoming and having lived in Laramie, Wyoming for well over a decade now, the high plains have shaped Shawn Hess’ music as much as any other thing. Listen in for songs of love, heartbreak and other things. Shawn played songs from his recent album ‘Wild Onion’ setting us back in time with this country classic sound.

Gracie Horse

*GracieHorse weaves vivid stories into her immaculate country music. Her songs transport us to the big blue expanse of Wyoming, dancing with a man in a white Stetson, and eating chicken wings in a hazmat suit. She offers a unique take on places like Los Angeles, noting its wannabe cowboys and fast food joints. Her music is the kind you'd blast in your truck while driving down empty highways—vulnerable, humorous, and deeply self-aware.

GracieHorse’s new album, L.A. Shit, is a major artistic statement created with a community spirit. She enlisted numerous friends from the L.A. area for the recording, proudly showcasing their talents. The album is a big family affair, filled with the essence of true country music: funny, heartbreaking, and brutally honest.

Casper Allen

*Casper Allen, hailing from the furthest reaches of Texas, has spent years chasing experiences across the state and beyond. With roots in the Texas songwriting tradition of heroes like Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, and a raw, bluesy vocal style reminiscent of Freddie King and Albert Collins, Allen's music delves into themes of addiction, life on the road, and the ups and downs of a well-traveled life. His style, developed through years of busking on street corners and playing in dive bars across the U.S., is both gritty and authentic.

Allen's journey has seen him perform as a solo artist and as the opening act for Lost Dog Street Band on their U.S. tours. He has shared the stage with artists like Ryan Bingham, Vincent Neil Emerson, Matt Heckler, and Arlo McKinley. He released his full-length album Volume 1 in August 2020 and The Magnolia Sessions in February 2021. Despite COVID-19 disruptions and legal battles with the State of Texas and former management, Allen emerged stronger, with new songs, a record on the way, and a fruitful collaboration with videographer Patrick Lewey. Now residing in Colorado with his partner and young daughter, Allen enjoys a newfound stability, savoring long walks with his dogs and fried chicken.
